Man vs Mont Ventoux: fog you very much !
While at the bar yesterday night I had the idea to do a ride I had never done before (while some guys here have already done it fixed by the past): the mythical Mont Ventoux solo climbing from the village of Bédouin…
I was warned it would be a reckless effort and pretty hard by its own (and it was !), but the f***ïn weather was so horrible that it was even more epic: canicular during the first kilometers, then I have been totally soaked by storm attacks and to complete my curse I had to pedal from the Chalet de Reynard to the top under a mix of snow flakes and ice…Guess what while arrived ?7°cc and it was so foggy I couldn’t see any landscape from the orientation spot…well done !
Here are some pics I tried to take with my iPhone during action:
Strangely, this road has the most important collection of dick paintings I had ever seen… Paganic rite ? Hommage to the Village People ? Or just a subliminal sign to make you understand these 20km are gonna be a pain in the a** ?…

Anyway it was a great experience, ready to do it again ?
NB:Sorry you can’t see it but I wore the same French Flag tennis socks to pay hommage to In sanino.I had to abandon them at the summit to prevent from eagles attacks.
NB2: And NO my hat is not a Berêt Basque neither a Bachelor hat.

Ah ah ah !
